I installed my sims 2 games from disk (win 10) and it was a pretty long process. A lot of trouble shooting. It's usually a different problem on different pcs. For me it wouldnt instsll bc it said it was dangerous to install. I would personally advise you to just download the complete collection and use the install instructions.
